Logistics at a Crossroads
Bonus- Thank you and recap..
Before diving into the next chapter of Logistics at a Crossroads, this bonus episode is a heartfelt pause—a moment to reflect, say thank you, and share a bit of the road behind the mic.
Host Gia opens up about what it really took to launch this podcast: the late-night doubts, the academic curveballs, and the incredible support from her oldest nephews, who patiently walked her through confusing math problems, puzzling papers, and podcast prep along the way.
🎓 From going back to school at 47 to hitting “record” at 48, this is a thank you to those who stood by her, cheered her on, and reminded her that imperfect beginnings still matter.
Whether you've been here from the start or just found your way to the crossroads—thank you for listening, encouraging, and believing that real voices have real power.
Because even if just one person feels seen… that’s more than enough.

🎙️ Bonus Episode: Thank You for Meeting Me at the Crossroads
[Intro music: “LoFi Chill” fades in at 0:01, fades out at 0:10]
Gia (Host):
Hey y’all—before we continue with the next official episode, I wanted to take a moment… and just say thank you.
This podcast—Logistics at a Crossroads—has been quietly forming in my heart for over five years. I’d jot ideas down, brainstorm episode titles, imagine what it would sound like. But there was always something in the way.
The timing wasn’t right. Life was busy. Or maybe… I just didn’t think I was ready.
But here’s the truth:
If I can go back to school at 48 and finish my AAS in Logistics and Supply Chain?
Then I can dang sure hit record and see where this podcast goes.
And I did.
Not because everything was perfect.
But because it mattered.
Even if it’s only heard a few dozen times—it was heard.
Even if just one person nods along and says, “Yeah, I feel that too…”
That’s enough to keep going.
This episode is especially for my two oldest nephews.
Thank you for letting Aunt Gina pester you during Zoom calls, for walking me through formulas and formatting when I was ready to throw in the towel. For listening, advising, and reminding me that even when I felt completely lost… I wasn’t alone.
You didn’t just help with a podcast.
You showed up for a dream that took years to find its voice.
And now, ten episodes in, I want to take a moment to look back.
We’ve talked about tariffs, AI, and trade policy.
We’ve unpacked the weight of burnout, the challenges of DEI rollbacks, and what it means to lead through unpredictability.
We’ve stood with dispatchers, planners, port workers, and supply chain teams—spotlighting the real people behind the freight.
Logistics at a Crossroads isn’t just about freight strategy.
It’s about the people who carry the load—literally and emotionally.
And as we move forward, we’ll keep leaning into those stories.
There’s more to say about labor contracts. About policy shifts. About the quiet systems we survive—and the ones we rebuild.
So if you’ve been with me this far, thank you.
I hope you’ll keep walking with me through what’s next.
To everyone else who’s tuned in, messaged, liked, or simply listened—thank you.
Your presence mattered. It still does.
This podcast is still growing.
Still evolving.
But now, it’s real.
Because when we meet at the intersection of logistics and life—
Where the road, the rail, and the sea all converge—
We find stories worth telling.
We find people worth hearing.
And we find ourselves holding the line—together.
